Crimes - Sexually Violent Offenses - Penalties
Providing that a person who has been convicted on a prior occasion of
a sexually violent offense is subject to imprisonment for not more
than life without parole on conviction of a second or subsequent
sexually violent offense; providing that the Act may not be construed
to abrogate or affect the operation of the crimes of violence law;
providing that the Act applies to offenses committed on or after
October 1, 1998, regardless of the date of the first offense; defining
sexually violent offenses; etc.
