Baltimore City - Public Schools - Educational Assistants and Paraprofessional Employees - Licensing

Synopsis:

Authorizing the New Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners to require the licensure of educational assistants and paraprofessional employees who work in Baltimore City public schools; providing that the State Board of Education shall license the educational assistants and paraprofessional employees; requiring the State Board and the New Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners to review and refine recommendations of the 1996 Paraprofessional Task Force; and requiring the State Board to adopt regulations.
