Vehicle Theft - Admissibility of Affidavit

Synopsis:

Allowing affidavits of motor vehicle owners to be introduced as evidence in specified criminal cases; requiring the State to notify the defendant within a specified period of time that it intends to introduce such an affidavit; allowing the defendant to require the State to compel the appearance of a specified witness within a specified period of time; and allowing the defendant to examine the witness at trial.
