Diesel Vehicle Smoke Control Program
Requiring the MVA and the Secretary of the Environment to establish a
Diesel Vehicle Smoke Control Program; authorizing smoke emissions
tests and inspections of diesel powered motor vehicles with a gross
weight rating exceeding 8,500 pounds; providing for the issuance of
noncompliance citations to the owner of a diesel vehicle that is not
in compliance with applicable emissions standards and establishing a
specified fine for failing to bring the vehicle into compliance; and
establishing a Diesel Vehicle Smoke Control Advisory Committee.
