The Patients' Consent Act

Synopsis:

Requiring that a specified notice regarding data collection for the Maryland medical care database be provided to patients under specified circumstances; requiring the consent of a patient to be obtained prior to collection of the data; establishing an exception; and specifying the effect of the consent on any rights or privileges of a patient regarding specified data and treatment and payment for treatment.
