Maryland Medical Assistance Program - Reimbursement - Emergency
Service Transporters
Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to reimburse an
emergency service transporter that bills for its services for the cost
of transporting a program recipient and for medical services provided
to a program recipient; authorizing the Department to adopt
regulations to implement the provision of the Act; and defining
"emergency service transporter" to mean a provider of fire, rescue, or
emergency medical services that is a public entity or that is a
volunteer fire, rescue, or emergency service provider.
