and Designation of Primary Care Providers
Defining the term "primary care provider"; and altering the definition
of "health maintenance organization" and specified provisions of law
under the Maryland Health Maintenance Organization Act to include
individuals and allow individuals who are licensed, certified, or
otherwise authorized to provide health care services, in addition to
physicians, to be designated as primary care providers under specified
circumstances.
