Income Tax Reduction
Reducing the top marginal tax rate under the Maryland State income tax
on individuals to 4.9% for tax year 1998, 4.8% for tax year 1999, 4.7%
for tax year 2000, 4.6% for tax year 2001, and 4.5% for tax years
after 2001; and reducing the maximum amount of a subtraction allowed
for two-income married couples to specified amounts for tax years 1998
through 2001 and to $1,000 for tax years after 2001.
