Income Tax - Credit for Child and Dependent Care Expenses

Synopsis:

Allowing individuals whose federal adjusted gross income for the taxable year does not exceed specified levels a credit against the State income tax for specified child and dependent care expenses paid by the individual; defining specified terms; requiring the Office of the Comptroller to conduct a specified study and to report to specified committees of the General Assembly by December 1, 2001; applying the Act to tax years after 1999; etc.
