Altering the amounts awarded under the Maryland teacher scholarships
to include tuition, books, mandatory fees, and room and board;
altering the service obligation for a scholarship recipient to 2 years
for each year a scholarship is awarded; altering the definition of
"eligible institution" to include specified out-of-state institutions
of higher education; and requiring the State Department of Education
to submit a report to the Governor and the General Assembly on the
impact of the Maryland teacher recruitment program.
