Health Insurance - Coverage for Durable Medical Equipment

Synopsis:

Requiring specified insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for medically necessary durable medical equipment that is prescribed by a physician for an insured or enrollee; authorizing an insurer, nonprofit health service plan, or health maintenance organization to impose specified deductibles or coinsurance requirements under specified circumstances; and applying the Act.
