Requiring the Maryland Higher Education Commission, in cooperation
with the Department of Human Resources, to coordinate efforts among
institutions of higher education to encourage and identify student
volunteers to help provide mentoring to Family Investment Program
(FIP) recipients; specifying when temporary cash assistance may not
be paid; increasing to 36 months the time between when an individual
was a former FIP recipient and when the individual may participate in
the Job Skills Enhancement Program; etc.
