Telecommunications - Telephone Solicitations - Regulation
Requiring the Public Service Commission (PSC) to establish and
maintain a database of residential telephone subscribers in the State
who choose not to receive telephone solicitations; requiring a
telephone solicitor to purchase the current version of the database;
prohibiting a telephone solicitor from soliciting a listed residential
telephone subscriber; requiring the PSC to make the database available
to telephone solicitors on or before January 1, 2002; prohibiting a
telephone solicitor from blocking caller identifying information; etc.
