Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 473 - Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Domestic Relations Division Employees - Pension and Retirement Health Benefits.

This bill ensures that when the child support enforcement activities of the Domestic Relations Division of the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court are transferred to the Child Support Enforcement Administration of the Maryland Department of Human Resources, the employees may continue membership in the county pension and health benefit system.

House Bill 929, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 473.
