Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 865 - Baltimore City - Orphans' Court Judges - Salary.

This bill increases the salaries of associate judges of the Baltimore City Orphans' Court from $50,000 to $55,000 and the salary of the chief judge from $60,000 to $65,000.

House Bill 1362, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 865.
