Courts - Right of Party to Be Present at Trial
Providing that, absent a voluntary waiver, a party to a judicial
action may not be excluded from the trial except to preserve decorum
or to continue the orderly proceedings of the court; providing that
this right may not be abridged by specified rule or regulation of the
court as issued by the Court of Appeals; and stating the intent of the
General Assembly that a party to a judicial action has a fundamental
right to be present at the trial of that action, notwithstanding the
party's disability.
