Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1133 - Municipal Corporations - Decisions of Port Wardens - Appeals This bill authorizes an aggrieved party to appeal a decision of a board of port wardens, concerning the discharge of the duties of the port wardens, to the circuit court for the appropriate county, if authorized by the municipal corporation by ordinance.

Senate Bill 493, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 11, 2004, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1133.
