Consumer Protection - Unsolicited Facsimiles - Private Cause of Action

Synopsis:

Authorizing an individual who is affected by a violation of specified provisions relating to unsolicited commercial transactions by facsimile machines to bring a civil action against the violator; authorizing the recovery of reasonable attorney's fees and damages of $250 or actual damages sustained, whichever is greater; and authorizing the court to award treble damages if it finds the violation was willful or knowing.
