Maryland Tobacco Authority - Sunset Extension and Program Evaluation

Synopsis:

Continuing the Maryland Tobacco Authority in accordance with the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset Law) by extending to July 1, 2011, the termination provisions relating to the statutory and regulatory authority of the Authority; altering the number of members of the Authority, the membership criteria, and the process for nominating members; repealing authority for the compensation for specified members of the Authority; repealing a requirement that the Authority conduct specified studies and investigations; etc.
