Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 161 - Wicomico County - Alcoholic Beverages - Wine Tasting and Sampling.

This bill authorizes the Liquor Control Board of Wicomico County to hold wine tasting and sampling promotional events in county liquor dispensaries under specified circumstances and limits the number of days during which events may be held in any 12-month period in the county to not more than 10. Senate Bill 571, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 161.
