Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 294 - Reimbursement of Health Care Providers - Sunset Repeal.

This bill repeals the termination provisions relating to the reimbursement of specified health care providers by specified health maintenance organizations at a specified rate under specified circumstances and the disclosure of specified information under specified circumstances. Senate Bill 300, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 294.
