Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 317 - Task Force on the Establishment of a Prescription Drug Repository Program.

This bill establishes a Task Force on the Establishment of a Prescription Drug Repository Program and provides for the composition, chair, staffing, and duties of the Task Force. The Task Force is to submit a report by January 1, 2006. Senate Bill 441, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 317.
