Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 967 - Cecil County - Treasurer - Salary.

This bill increases the salary of the Treasurer of Cecil County and provides that the Act does not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent Treasurer of Cecil County. Senate Bill 862, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 967.
