Healthy Air Act

Synopsis:

Prohibiting affected facilities collectively from emitting more than specified amounts per year of oxides of nitrogen, sulfur dioxide, and mercury on or after specified dates; authorizing the Department of the Environment to set a specified interim stage of sulfur dioxide emmissions reductions; requiring the Governor to include the State in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative; providing for the possible withdrawal of the State from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative after January 1, 2009; etc.
