Vessel Excise Tax - Exemption - Vessels Taken Out of State
Exempting vessels purchased in Maryland from the vessel excise tax if
the vessel is purchased from a licensed dealer, a title is not sought
or required, the principal use of the vessel is outside of Maryland,
the vessel is promptly registered in another jurisdiction, and the
dealer and purchaser execute an agreement to certify the state of
principal use within 30 days of the date of purchase.
