Vehicle Laws - Consumer Access to Replacement Key Information

Synopsis:

Requiring a manufacturer of a motor vehicle sold or leased in the State on or after January 1, 2010, to implement a system for providing specified replacement key information to registered locksmiths; requiring a motor vehicle manufacturer to make a specified key replacement system available to registered motor vehicle owners or lessees at all times; making the Act contingent on the enactment of specified legislation; etc.
