Kids First Act

Synopsis:

Requiring the Comptroller to send a notice regarding eligibility for the Maryland Medical Assistance Program or the Maryland Children's Health Program to a taxpayer with a dependent child if income reported on a tax return for tax year 2007 does not exceed a specified income eligibility standard; requiring that the notice be developed by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; requiring a taxpayer to report on the income tax return the presence or absence of health care coverage for each dependent child; etc.
