Clarifying that a net estate for determining the statutory elective
share of the surviving spouse includes the value of property held in
the decedent's revocable trust, with specified reductions, and does
not include the value of specified property owned by the decedent that
is designated to pass to a specified beneficiary; limiting the
surviving spouse's elective share of the net estate to a specified
amount; and applying the Act prospectively.
