Maryland Health Care Commission - Cardiac Surgery and Percutaneous Coronary
Intervention Services
Requiring, with a specified exception, a certificate of need for the
establishment of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) services;
requiring, beginning on July 1, 2012, a certificate of conformance
before an acute general hospital may establish emergency PCI services
or elective PCI services; prohibiting the Maryland Health Care
Commission from issuing a certificate of conformance unless the
Commission finds that the proposed emergency PCI services or proposed
elective PCI services meet specified standards; etc.
