Medical and Dental Treatment - Consent by Minors and Protections for Licensed
Health Care Practitioners
Providing that a minor has the same capacity as an adult to consent to
dental treatment if the minor is married or is the parent of a child;
providing that a minor has the same capacity as an adult to consent to
medical or dental treatment if the minor is living separate and apart
from the minor's parent, parents, or guardian and is self-supporting;
providing that a licensed health care practitioner who treats a minor
is not liable for civil damages or subject to penalties under
specified circumstances; etc.
