Office of Cemetery Oversight - Sunset Extension and Program Evaluation
Continuing the Office of Cemetery Oversight in accordance with the
provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset Law) by
extending to July 1, 2023, the termination provisions relating to
statutory and regulatory authority of the Office; exempting private
family cemeteries that do not conduct public sales from specified
permitting and registration, perpetual care, and preneed contract
requirements of the Maryland Cemetery Act; adding a representative
from a crematory to the Advisory Council on Cemetery Operations; etc.
