Synopsis

Requiring operators of certain libraries, beginning January 1, 2026, to place an automated external defibrillator in a certain area and maintain the functionality of the automated external defibrillator; granting certain immunities to libraries and individuals for certain acts or omissions under certain circumstances; and requiring the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems to report by December 1, 2026, on the libraries with automated external defibrillators and the number of adverse cardiac events.
