Synopsis

Requiring the State Department of Education to register each local education agency in the State as an associate member of a national organization to utilize the Educator Identification Clearinghouse for screening individuals who apply to be educators; and requiring each local education agency in the State to utilize the Educator Identification Clearinghouse to screen each individual who applies for an educator position with the local school system on or after July 1, 2025.
