Economic Development Strategies and Accountability
Requiring the Secretary of Business and Economic Development to use
best efforts to pursue an interstate compact for the purpose of
limiting or restricting competition for out-of-state businesses;
limiting the use of the Economic Development Opportunities Program
Fund to economic development projects in which an applicant agrees to
create at least 100 jobs, pay a minimum wage rate to its employees,
provide a health benefits package to its employees, and make premium
contribution payments to the health care benefits packages; etc.
