Election Law - Fund-Raising During Legislative Session - Prohibition

Synopsis:

Prohibiting the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, members of the General Assembly, or persons acting on their behalf, from collecting contributions, conducting fund-raising events, or soliciting or selling tickets to events for specified candidates and committees, during a regular session of the General Assembly; providing exceptions for candidates for federal and local elective office and candidates who qualify for funds under the Fair Campaign Financing Act; and making provisions of the Act severable.
