Tobacco Tax
Imposing the tobacco tax on specified tobacco products other than
cigarettes at a rate of 35% of the wholesale price of the other
tobacco products; increasing the tobacco tax rate for cigarettes from
36 cents to $1.36 per pack; requiring the Comptroller to establish by
regulation a system of administering, collecting, and enforcing the
tobacco tax on other tobacco products; making other tobacco products
subject to specified enforcement provisions; imposing requirements
relating to transportation of other tobacco products; etc.
