Charles County - County Commissioners - Authority to Construct, Extend, and Acquire Water or Sewer Systems or Stormwater Management Areas

Synopsis:

Authorizing the Charles County Commissioners to acquire and improve private sewer systems and stormwater management areas, to construct new or extend existing water or sewer systems or stormwater management areas, and to levy an annual benefit assessment for such systems or areas; providing that such systems or areas are operated by the Department of Facilities; authorizing the Commissioners to adopt regulations and charge interest on payments; and requiring a petition filed by property owners before the Act can be applied.
