Crimes of Violence - Pretrial Release
Prohibiting a District Court commissioner from releasing pretrial a
defendant who has been charged with a crime of violence if the
defendant has previously been convicted of a crime of violence;
allowing a judge to release pretrial a defendant under specified
circumstances; and requiring a judge to order the detention of a
defendant before trial under specified circumstances.
