Bounty Hunters - Licensing and Certification
Requiring bounty hunters to obtain a license and certification as a
private detective; defining a bounty hunter as a person who engages in
the business of apprehending fugitives from justice; excluding law
enforcement and special police officers and bail bondsmen and their
employees and agents; providing that the requirements, prohibitions,
and penalties for private detectives apply to bounty hunters;
providing that bounty hunters are not subject to the licensing or
certification requirements until July 1, 1999; etc.
