Repealing the Maryland Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act;
adopting the Maryland Uniform Child-Custody Jurisdiction and
Enforcement Act; establishing the general procedures for child-custody
proceedings under the Act; specifying the circumstances under which a
court of this State and a court of another state may exercise
jurisdiction over child-custody determination; and specifying the
procedures for enforcing a child-custody determination made under the
Act.
