Synopsis:

Expanding eligibility for unemployment benefits to individuals who voluntarily leave work immediately following the birth or adoption of a child and are the primary provider of care for the child; providing that the birth or adoption of a child may constitute good cause for voluntarily leaving work; providing for the period of time during which such individuals are eligible to receive unemployment benefits; and providing that these individuals are deemed to be in compliance with certain benefit eligibility requirements.
