Sexually Violent Predators

Synopsis:

Creating a procedure in which a person who has been convicted of or charged with a sexually violent offense and who suffers from a mental abnormality or personality disorder may be placed in the custody of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene until the person is safe to be at large; requiring the Commissioner of Correction of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to notify the Attorney General before persons convicted of specified sexually violent offenses are released; etc.
