Entitled:

Public Assistance - Disqualification for Conviction of a Felony Involving a Controlled Dangerous Substance

Synopsis:

Providing that the State removes itself from specified provisions of federal law that require the disqualification for cash assistance or food stamps of an individual convicted of a felony involving a controlled dangerous substance; and limiting the application of the Act to the extent that it may conflict with provisions of State law relating to substance abuse by public assistance recipients and applicants and their eligibility for benefits.
