Political Subdivisions - Property Tax - State Grants

Synopsis:

Providing for an annual State grant of $500,000 to Baltimore City and an annual grant to the counties based on the proportion of agricultural land in the State that is in each county; providing that the grants may be used only for agricultural land preservation and for the acquisition and development of land for recreation and open space purposes; requiring the Department of Assessments and Taxation to certify specified information to the State Comptroller; defining specified terms; etc.
