Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 330 - State Advisory Council on Heart Disease and Stroke.

This bill renames the State Advisory Council on High Blood Pressure and Related Cardiovascular Risk Factors to the State Advisory Council on Heart Disease and Stroke. This bill also increases the membership of the Advisory Council from 16 members to 24 members.

House Bill 492, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 330.
