State Insurance Trust Fund - Participation of State-Aided Nonprofit Health Entities

Synopsis:

Authorizing State-aided health entities to elect to participate in the State Insurance Program through the State Insurance Trust Fund; altering the purpose of the State Insurance Program; requiring the Treasurer to provide self-insurance for losses of State-aided health entities; requiring the Treasurer to assess participating State-aided health entities for coverage against loss; requiring the Treasurer to pay losses on behalf of participating State-aided health entities; specifying a deductible for claims; etc.
