Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 1489 - Maryland Consolidated Capital Bond Loan of 2004 - Prince George's County - Mission of Love Loan of 2003. This bill amends Chapter 204 of the Acts of 2003, as amended, to allow the matching fund for the Prince George's County - Mission of Love project to consist of real property and in kind contributions; etc. Senate Bill 23, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1489.
