Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed Senate Bill 806 - Education - Suspended or Expelled Students - Community Resources List.

This bill requires a student considered for suspension or expulsion from school or the student's parent or guardian to be given a community resources list and requires a child with a disability or the child's parent or guardian to be given a community resources list attached to a procedural safeguards notice if the child is being considered for suspension or expulsion from school. House Bill 1074, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 806.
