Income Tax - State and County Income Tax Credit for New Teachers
Allowing specified classroom teachers to claim an income tax credit in
the amount of $1,200 if the individual meets specified requirements;
providing that the tax credit may not be claimed unless the governing
body of the county where the individual is employed as a classroom
teacher has authorized the tax credit by law; providing for the
crediting of the tax credit between the State income tax and county
income tax; applying the Act to tax years after 2006; etc.
