EmPOWER Marylanders Act of 2006

Synopsis:

Creating the EmPOWER Maryland Buying Group as a nonprofit quasi-public corporation to act as an aggregator and negotiate low-cost electric and energy services for individuals and businesses; specifying the intent of the General Assembly that specified funds be used for initial startup costs and that the EmPOWER Maryland Buying Group become fiscally self-sustaining; establishing a Board of Directors for the EmPOWER Maryland Buying Group; etc.
